Alien: Isolation Gives Fans Another Reason It’s The Best ‘Alien’ Game Yet.
Alien: Isolation dropped another bombshell on fans this week. Two extra missions available for download have been revealed and the first of which is to be included with pre-ordered versions of the game.
Alien: Isolation has already captivated fans of the series who are excited for a return to form and a game true to the spirit of the original movie.
Followers of Non-Fiction Gaming will know that I’ve had mixed feelings about the upcoming horror title. It looks outstanding but with the problems present in Outlast I’ll reserve judgement until I’ve played the game itself.
Those who pre-order the game will be upgraded to the Nostromo Edition. They will be able to jump into the world of the 1979 movie in ‘Crew Expendable’. Players will be able to take on the role of Parker, Dallas, or famed herione Ellen Ripley and try to flush the xenomorph out of the ship.
Each character will have a different perspective of the events and start with different resources. Select retailers may also be able to offer access to the second downloadable mission, ‘Lone Survivor’. The second of two DLC missions so far is set after the crew are dead, and Ripley must activate the self-destruct system and escape on the Narcissus.
What’s most exciting about these missions is that Creative Assembly have brought back the original cast of the science fiction classic.
While Ian Holm (Ash) will not be joining, cast members Sigourney Weaver (Ripley), Veronic Cartwright (Lambert), Yaphet Kotto (Parker), Tom Skerritt (Dallas), and Harry Dean Stanton (Brett) will all reprise their roles for the upcoming Alien: Isolation.

This revelation is huge for two reasons: these missions will feel much more authentic and will feel like a trip down memory lane for many fans of the series; and it shows the lengths Creative Assembly are going to in pursuit of excellence.
