Meet Blue

Hello everybody! Welcome! Welcome one and all! My name is Jason, or Blueonblue, and I’m going to be talking to you about what you have all come here to read about; gaming. I come from a long line of gamers. My father was a gamer, his father was a gamer and his father was a gamer before that.

My gaming career has been long and fruitful in the 26 years I’ve been blessed as having on this wonderful green earth and by no means am I done yet. I’ve been there and I’ve seen it all. If you can name it, I’ve probably played it but this is where our tale takes a turn down the long road that epic stories are made of.

Nowadays, the time that I have for gaming is becoming scarce and gone are the days of spending weeks on end staring into those beautiful cathode tubes. I play and watch competitive Starcraft, I play League of Legends and also play my Xbox as much as possible. The real magic happens on my iPhone though and thats what I’m going to be writing about.

You see, once you have spent thousands of hours finishing every game you can get your hands on you start to notice recurring themes and trends in every game you play. What is it about that new FPS that brings us coming back for another round? What makes an RTS so enticing after playing many more just like it? Why oh why did I spend eight hours a day playing World of Warcraft for four years?

Mobile gaming is booming and thank God too, ‘cause it’s here to stay. Sure, not every iOS game is a triple A title. Heck, most of them aren’t worth the time it takes to sync your phone with iTunes. Every now and then though, once in a blue moon on a hot summer night when the planets align and the clouds begin to part, a true gem rises from the dust to take its rightful place on the throne.

“Which ones?!” I hear you say. Never fear, for those that are patient will be rewarded and the questions you yearn to ask will soon find their answers so stay tuned! Opinionated articles, scathing sarcastic comments, indulgent hyperbole and so much more will be coming soon.

  1. Hi Blueonblue Please no Hyperbole. My father and his father before him, used it too much. It destroyed our family. Thanks in advance. Tommy2Toes
