Overseas eSports has exploded in popularity in recent years. International eSports competitions cash prizes could be worth up to $1 million.
In an interview with The Age, managing director of The Electronic Sports League (ESL) Australia Reagon Koryozo said, Australia was at least five years behind the rest of the world in professional eSports.
“Everything takes longer to evolve and adapt in Australia,”
Seraphic Nexus is pushing to increase the popularity of eSports down under. Giving skilled Australians a chance to feel what it’s like to play professionally.
Seraphic Nexus (Snx`) was established by Stuart “Braxius” Wright and Jeremy “Twista” Willis in January 2012 with the hope to become one of Australia’s professional top level eSports organisations.
Snx` puts their mission statement as being respected by the gaming community and eventually expand their teams overseas to represent Seraphic Nexus at an International level.
