After being inducted into the Children of the Firehawk, Incinerator Clayton needs you to complete another task as a young torch. Some bandits in Frostburn Canyon are worshiping a false god named Scorch. He wants you to put an end to this blasphemous worship and return the bandits to the teachings of the Firehawk.
To reach Scorch’s location you’ll want to cut through the Firehawk’s lair. Follow the path you took when you first came here until you reach the metal bridge where you face off against two badass psychos. Kill both of them and as you stand on the bridge you’ll notice a small path to your left on the map. A small opening to the left of you leads to a drop and takes you to the path you see on the map.
Keep heading east and you’ll soon find yourself at Scorches lair. The giant fire spiderant is being worshiped by his followers…until he kills them, of course. He’ll immediately set his sights on you after killing his followers. Use the same strategy for fighting normal spiderants. Try to approach him from behind and land critical shots on their abdomens. He’ll also have a small army of fire spiderants. They’re much smaller and relatively easy to kill. Take them out first then focus purely on Scorch.
Once Scorch is dead simply return to Clayton. To get back you’ll need to take the flight stairs to the north of Scorch’s lair. Collect the loot on the steps as you climb upwards. When you reach the top you’ll run into some bandits and spiderants. Fight each group separately, dealing with the bandits first then the spiderants. At the other end of the small valley you’ll find more bandits waiting to attack you. Clear them out and search through their camp for loot.
Their little camp comes to the edge of a cliff overlooking Clayton’s home. Hop down and hand in the quest for slaying the false idol.
