Square Enix’s have announced this week that Kingdom Hearts III is currently in development.
It has been 7 years since a Kingdom Hearts title has been released on a home console. After the release of Kingdom Hearts 2 fans were left misguided as to when another home console title would pop up again?
And so finally after a long grueling wait here it is. Fans can sigh in releif now that they don’t have to go through another cramped up Kingdom Heart’s experience on the Nintendo DS and 3DS consoles.
Kingdom Hearts 3 will mark the tenth title in the Kingdom Hearts series and has also been said that it will be the final title in the current story line. Within this installment we will witness a mature Sora embark on a new journey with his legendary Disney companions Mickey, Donald and Goofy as they journey out to put a stop to the plans of the villain of the series, Xehanort.
The title will see Sora and his companions race against time as they desperately search for the Seven Guardians of Light and ”the Key to Return Hearts”, while Riku and Mickey look for previous keyblade wielders in order to have a chance at seeing Xehanort’s efforts and attempts come to a crumble. As always Kingdom Hearts will also feature new Disney influenced worlds.
