Far Cry 4 fans have laid eyes upon their future.
Ubisoft released an image today of the protagonist from Far Cry 4, the upcoming open-world shooter.
The image, seen below, is a portrait of Ajay Ghale, a “Kyrat native, devoted son…” according to the Far Cry 4 Facebook page where we were given our first glimpse.
Ajay Ghale is Pagan Min’s guest of honour according to Ubisoft. Pagan Min was the source of controversy when Ubisoft released the first look at Far Cry 4’s box art. Criticisms levelled at the depiction of Min were around racial and class issues.
“Following the success of Far Cry 3, we wanted to take the franchise to the next level and create a game that will surprise players and exceed fans’ expectations,” said Dan Hay, Executive Producer. “Given the unique setting, we feel Far Cry 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we’re eager to reveal more about the game in the coming months.”
In Far Cry 4, players find themselves in Kyrat, a perilous and wild region of the Himalayas struggling under the regime of a despotic self-appointed king (Min). Using a vast array of weapons, vehicles and animals, players will be able to create their own story across an open-world landscape.
