After a teaser image was revealed that resembled the critically acclaimed Metal Gear spin-off, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, Kojima productions, the creators of this immense series, have released a statement to clear up misconceptions on the subject.
“We’d like to say thank you to the fans for their enthusiasm but to clarify we did not tease a new game at the Taipei Game Show.
The trailer screencap in question is from SCE [Sony Computer Entertainment] and not affiliated with Kojima Productions or Metal Gear.
We however were proud to announce Chinese language support in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain! Look forward to its release 2015.”
Despite the fact that this tease does not call upon the Metal Gear Rising series again, a mystery still remains when it comes to Metal Gear Rising 2 and its possible development.
