Relogic and Engine Software have unveiled their recently commenced project, Terraria Otherworld.
Otherworld gains its name from its alternate dimension environment that greatly differs from Terraria’s previous attempts. This alternate vision of Terraria pits the player, who is trapped in an infinite cycle of a life and death battle with an unspeakable evil, against numerous blood craving fiends as well as the ravenous environment, as you work alongside other survivors of this irrecoverable wasteland.
According to the Terraria Otherworld website, the new game is described as-
“Set in an alternate dimension within the Terraria universe, Terraria: Otherworld places the player in a life-and-death struggle to restore a once-pristine world – now overrun by a malevolent force that has corrupted nature itself – to its original splendour”.
“Combining elements of sandbox gameplay with role-playing and strategy elements, Terraria: Otherworld explores the Terraria experience in an innovative and unique way – providing a fresh approach to the “open world” genre.”
Otherworld‘s lead developer revealed that as well as making it’s way to Mac and PC, the team were taking a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One counterpart into consideration.
