Following it’s official reveal mere days ago, DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront has recently revealed a slew of new information regarding it’s lack of single player, playable characters, and vehicles.
The game will take place throughout the devastating events of the original trilogy with vast battles of up to 40 players. You’ll be able to utilize both imperial and rebel forces, as you traverse the unforgiving environments of Endor, Hoth, Tatooine, Sullust and levels mentioned in Star Wars novels and games that rarely ever made an appearance.
As well as these separate “factions” good team players will be awarded with the ability to take control of heroes such as Darth Vader, and Boba Fett.
“You can storm in as the Dark Lord himself,” said “Battlefront” design director Niklas Fegraeus. “You can wield a lightsaber. You can Force choke the rebel scum, which is fun. Basically, you are the boss of the battle. This means that you, as Vader, can lead your team to victory — if you play well.”
As to not leave any aspect of the vast Star Wars universe untouched, players will be able to partake in fierce dog fights. Tie fighters, X wings, Y wings, and the Millennium Falcon will all be available. Alongside these aerial vehicles you will be able to pilot speeders, AT-ST’s, AT-AT’s, and various other vehicles from the Star Wars universe.
Star Wars Battlefront is set to be released on November 17th, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
