Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has rolled out countless micro-transactions and DLC already, however Sledgehammer Games and Activision have introduced yet another first to the series; a free gun known as the M1 Irons.
The Revolver Returns – M1 Irons
As you can see in the above image we aren’t getting another laser-type weapon, instead gamers can look forward to the M1 Irons, a very powerful new pistol. The design is reminiscent of an old western six-shooter, and while many would think that it would be completely useless in a world where futuristic 3D printing guns exist it isn’t. This gun really packs a punch.
The M1 Irons is classed as a ‘special’ weapon, and it really is, dealing up to 52 damage per shot making it a reliable two shot killer, the only downside being its low ammo count. If you can manage this then it is hands down the best gun for a one on one fight, and when used akimbo it can drop enemies in one shot.
The main features of the M1 Irons apart from the high damage is its low recoil, high accuracy and decent rate of fire. If you need proof of this before trying it out for yourself then I would recommend watching any YouTuber use it, my personal favourite being Drift0r as he goes into detail when explaining it.
The M1 Irons is available now for Xbox One and 360 owners, however PlayStation users will have to wait approximately one month before receiving the content.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Ascendance is out now.
