The classic Doom is now playable on the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy if you’re on PC. Take a break from ridding the wasteland of Deathclaws by fighting demons on Mars. As you probably know, there are special Holotapes in Fallout 4 that allow you to play different mini-games, we’ve seen Donkey Kong in disguise along with other titles.
However, thanks to a new Mod we can now play the Freeware Doom. You can down the Mod from Nexusmods and go back to the classic title.
Download the mod and start playing Doom on your Pip-Boy using the steps below:
- Goto C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Fallout4
- Open Fallout4.ini
- Scroll to sResourceDataDirsFinal and add “PROGRAMS\, SOUND\” to the end of the line comma included.

The Mod is replacing Red Menace (Donkey Kong), meaning you will no longer have access to it. The creator mentioned that he is looking for a way to create new games.
