Xbox Partner Preview is back! Oct 17

The next Xbox Partner Preview will air on October 17, 2024, promising an exciting mix of announcements, trailers, and gameplay footage from top third-party developers, including Remedy Entertainment, 505 Games, and Sega. The event will run for about 25 minutes, and Xbox has hinted that fans can expect more than a dozen new trailers throughout the presentation.

October Xbox Partner Preview: What To Expect

Alan Wake 2’s DLC To Take the Spotlight

The upcoming Alan Wake 2 DLC, The Lake House, will be one of the headline attractions of the Xbox Partner Preview, with Xbox teasing the first gameplay footage during the showcase. Alongside a first look at gameplay, we might be in store for a release date confirmation (or maybe even a sudden release on the day of the preview) – especially since Remedy previously indicated the new DLC was planned for an October 2024 release during the September PlayStation State of Play showcase.

New Trailers for Like a Dragon and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

Alongside Alan Wake 2, another highly anticipated game set to appear in the Xbox Partner Preview is Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. This quirky spin-off puts Goro Majima, Like A Dragon’s notorious ex-yakuza, in the spotlight, offering players a new take on the beloved series on the open seas. Xbox has promised an “action-packed new trailer” for the title during the showcase – so expect plenty of swashbuckling chaos.

Fans will also get a new look at Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, with a trailer that gives a sneak peek at multiple bosses. This title has been on the radar of action RPG enthusiasts, and the new footage is expected to offer a glimpse of the challenges that await players.

More Announcements and Fresh Gameplay Expected

These confirmed titles are only a small taste of what’s coming to this week’s Xbox Partner Preview. Xbox has teased new game reveals, release date announcements, and “fresh new looks at gameplay” from additional upcoming titles. There’s plenty of mystery surrounding these surprises, and Xbox plans to reveal more behind-the-scenes information on Xbox Wire during the event, giving fans even more to dig into.

Expect the Unexpected

With so many games slated to appear and only a few confirmed so far, the Xbox Partner Preview is shaping up to be packed with surprises. Xbox seems determined to keep fans guessing, so it’s likely there will be some unexpected announcements or new games making their debut.
