Battle Pass launches March,
Apex Legends has taken the Internet by storm this week.
Respawn’s Titanfall universe ‘Battle Royale’ has already one million unique players within 24 hours of launching. It has even taken the coveted top spot on Twitch.tv
Amid the rush of fans trying to become the next Apex Champion, EA and Respawn have released a road map for the game’s first year.
Here’s what to expect from the Apex Legends season one battle pass.
Apex Legends Battle Passes
Four Battle Passes will drop through 2019: in March, June, September and December. During each of these months, new Legends (playable characters), weapons and loot will also be added.
Following in the footsteps of Fortnite, the Battle Pass to be a similar equivalent monetisation tool.
According to the Apex Legends FAQ,
“The Battle Pass is a seasonal system that rewards players with exclusive cosmetic items,”
“These rewards are a mix of exclusive seasonal cosmetics and Apex Packs. Every player can unlock some of these items each season through normal play; those who choose to purchase the Battle Pass can earn everything available that season, around 100 different rewards.”
One concern players had was that new Legends (The character classes) would be locked behind Battle Passes. This has been clarified by Respawn saying the Legends won’t come as part of the Battle Pass: the pass is all about cosmetic items and Apex Packs.
“No, Legends will not be included in the Battle Pass. The Battle Pass gives players exclusive cosmetic items and Apex Packs. “
